Author Spotlight: Patricia D Eddy, Beautifully Broken Romance
I know I am a shameless TBR (to be read) enabler. I own it. I should probably have a shirt that says it. Or at least stickers. But anyway (squirrel!). I’m not the only one responsible for helping to create TBRs that will outlive us. Nope. Not even a little bit. And honestly, some of my biggest TBR enablers are not even people. They’re groups.
Consider if you will…. How many times I’ve mentioned the Protector Romance Reader Group (PRRG) in my blogs. Yeah, there’s a reason for that. And this week’s spotlight author, Patricia D Eddy, is another example of how that group just keeps pulling us in to new authors and leading us down a seriously deep binge dive. You know what’s even funnier? This week’s guest blogger, Julie, found Patricia D Eddy through PRRG, a group Julie helped create and admins on the daily. So, I guess you could say, Julie is her own biggest TBR enabler.
The other really cool thing about Patricia, is that even though Julie found her through the PRRG, she’s another author who writes across subgenres. In addition to romantic suspense, Patricia also writes paranormal/shifter and fantasy. I love how those multiple genres seem to blend for a lot of writers. And honestly, I love a good suspenseful shifter story, so I need to look at those a little closer.
Julie started with Patricia’s Restrained Series, which is her Erotic/BDSM/Suspense series, and according to Julie is, “So, so good.” And considering how much Julie reads, that is seriously high praise. Now that she’s finished that series deep dive, the next series she’s diving into is Patricia’s Away From Keyboard series. When I asked Julie, why there, she said, “I know based on how often it’s recommended in the group, it’ll be fantastic.”
Have I mentioned that Julie reads a lot of books? And based on what she reads, she knows strong alpha males that respect women when she sees them. Fortunately, Patricia has those in droves. Along with incredible depth of character, serious steam, and solid suspense. In fact, Julie told me if you like suspense and heat, you’ll fall down a rabbit hole with Patricia’s books.
Julie has also gotten to know Patricia through the PRRG and beyond being a great storyteller, she’s incredibly kind. I second this. Every interaction I’ve had with Patricia has been wonderful. And she loves to meet and interact with her readers. Patricia is a regular at bookish events. Julie and I got a chance to meet and chat with her at Knockout Bookbash in 2022 and we are so incredibly excited to see her again at Charm City Romanticon.
I have all of her books on my TBR. And looking at her audiobook selection and narrators, I have a feeling that’s a rabbit hole I will be diving into very shortly.
