About the Editor
I am a reader and writer of all things, but my true love is in reading and writing about Romance novels. I am an avid blogger and reviewer, and find true delight in seeing authors grow through their writing experience.
There is no greater joy for me than witnessing a new writer find their voice and soar.
A grammar nerd at heart, editing is like a happy scavenger hunt for me. It’s not just about finding misspellings and errant punctuation, it’s about seeing the entire picture and bringing the true story to life.
Curious about my professional background and credentials? I hold a B.A. in English from Tulane University and an MAT in Secondary Education from Towson University. I have over 25 years experience teaching high school English, as well as over 20 years writing and editing for the business world.
Process & Price
As a full service editor and proofreader, you get it all from me: Grammar, sentence stucture, punctuation, tone, word choice, continuity, and even suggestions on how to expand on what you’ve already written to give your story and characters more depth.
The process:
You submit your manuscript to me in a Google Docs format and I complete a first run edit with corrections and suggestions.
Once you incorporate the corrections and suggestions into the Google Doc format, I complete a second look for additional edits missed the first time, as well as an evaluation for flow and increased continuity.
Upon publication in ARC format (suitable for Kindle publication) I do a final read-through for those pesky gremlins that avoided the first and second cuts.
The price:
Prices are negotiated based on the length of your originally submitted manuscript, and the amount and type of editing you need done. Please email brayzenbookwyrm@gmail.com for pricing and schedule availability.
Client Testimonials
Connecting with Michelle and having her as the editor on my new book series was the best decision I ever made when it comes to my writing. Not only is she a pleasure to work with, but also, she’s helped me become better in a way that no one ever did before and that’s exciting. She has an eagle eye that catches things I miss, and her editing and proofreading services are excellent. Discovering my voice and taking my writing to the next level were key goals and Michelle knows exactly how to help a writer do that. I’m so grateful to have her on this journey with me!

Michelle tucked me under her wing and has been an integral part of my process without taking any credit of her own or being heavy handed. Her critiques make me feel more motivated and confident in my own writing. Whether it be punctuation (commas are my quicksand!) or just overall clarity for the story. Both her edits and reviews are always done quickly (without being hasty), professional, and valuable to me in a way that helps me make my story better without taking away from my story.

You don’t just get one thing with Michelle. You get a cheerleader, a friend, a teacher and an editor all rolled into one. She will encourage you, nurture you and help to find your strengths and build on your weaknesses. She understands what you’re trying to say without you putting the words down. She’s able to read your tone as a writer perfectly even if you haven’t expressed it perfectly.
Her ability to spot errors, plot holes and over use of commas (sorry, Michelle!) is like no other and she explains things like no teacher ever could.
I have adored working with her and look forward to working on so many more projects together in the future. And if you’re still unsure about whether to book with her, just stop thinking and do it. You won’t be disappointed. She’s the best!

"As an author, it’s always nerve wracking to put your “drafts” out for others to critique. It’s like opening your chest and willingly letting people take stabs at the soft insides. Michelle Fewer understands this, and her beta reads are done with gentle pushes and confidence boosting celebrations. If you’re in the search for a new beta reader, add Michelle to your list, you certainly won’t regret it.
