Set Me Free
A Story So Perfectly Perfect
It happened. Emilia Cooper got her HEA. And it is beautiful, and steamy, and heartfelt, and emotional, and hilarious, and so perfectly perfect. Set Me Free by Koko Heart is everything I ever wanted for the tough-as-nail, takes-no-prisoners Shark. She’s Grayson’s ideal match. And he is everything she ever needed to feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. And it is all so breathtaking.
Demons to slay? Yep, they both have them—personally and professionally. Crosses to bear? Yep, those too. Amends to make? I just love a grand gesture that has a really deep personal impact, don’t you? Imperfect characters finally finding someone who understands and respects their needs? Bring it on! Building a strong foundation on respect and trust? Absolute bliss for this reader. And their chemistry, their connection, it’s incendiary from the start. Koko has once again created two beautifully developed characters with incredible depth who I couldn’t get enough of.
And the steam in this one is off the charts, so grab a fan. And a cold glass of something. But consider yourself warned: this story is tempered with the typical humor, perfectly layered family dynamics, and group texts that caused me to spray my kindle with tea, on multiple occasions. You’d think I’d know better by now. Do not drink tea when Marcus is part of the conversation. Revisiting with the entire Cooper Clan to bring this HEA home was absolutely incredible.
Can Set Me Free be read as a standalone? I believe so. Should you start from book one anyone? Yes, I believe that too. Because honestly, the depth of connections Koko builds into her stories only gets better when you know all the characters involved. From her genuine and authentic dialogue, to her insistence that the grand gesture isn’t always the guy’s burden to bear, she brings the heart every single time. And every word is worth it.
