Cowboy of Convenience
So Much of Everything I Love in a Story!
Swoony police officer who’s also a bonafide cowboy? Check. Feisty, independent, yet vulnerable heroine who’s harboring a secret she fears makes her non-relationship material? Check. Hilarious octogenarians who will keep you in stitches but have the best hearts ever? Check. And a twist (or three) you’ll never see coming? Checkmate! Must be a Janice Whiteaker novel.
Cowboy of Convenience begins a new spinoff series from Janice Whiteaker’s Cowboys of Moss Creek novels and combines the humor, heat, and heart readers have come to expect from those swoony Montana residents and their perfect and perfectly flawed HEAs. Pairing easygoing Officer Grady with spirited and bold Evelyn in a fake relationship narrative creates an amazing and ideal foundation for them to each finally embrace their ultimate HEA. Surrounded by circumstances they’re forced to acknowledge, they find their strength with each other, learning to rely on their individual resilience and accept how much of a united force they are together.
Grady and Evelyn are surrounded by an incredible cast of characters, both new and established. Of course, the Geriatric GirlGang is back, and up to their usual mix of hijinks and endearing wisdom. And a host of new characters advance and enhance the story as well, weaving in elements of depth and emotional acceptance along with several a-ha moments for more than just the main characters.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Janice Whiteaker novel without some level of suspense, and that final twist is a doozy! Just desserts are well-awarded. And rewarded. The depths of connection created in the most unlikely of places will warm your heart and create some strong new notions of people’s motives and intentions. Grab the tissues, too. Because you’ll need them to wipe the tears of joy, sorrow, and laughter throughout. And a cold glass of water. Because Grady is a seriously swoony, seggsy, dirty-talker. And Evelyn is one lucky woman.
Cowboy of Convenience starts off Whiteaker’s new series, Moss Creek—PD and can be read as a standalone novel. Of course, if you want the full vibe of the Moss Creek community, I definitely recommend binging the frack out of the Cowboys of Moss Creek series. The humor, heart, heat, and HEAs are epic, and definitely a fantastic place to get lost in more seriously swoony stories.
