Author Spotlight: Golden Angel, A Little Bit of Sin Would Be Just Heavenly

It’s not unusual at this point for me to start following an author I haven’t read yet. Usually I’m drawn to them through other readers, other authors, or their social media. Something about them just resonates with me and I add their books to my TBR, often buying paperbacks I haven’t even read yet for them to sign. Golden Angel is one of those authors. I actually started following her when a friend told me she lives not far from me and recommended I reach out to her about attending Charm City Romanticon as a signing author.

Well, I needed to do some research first of course, and found Golden’s TikTok. And fell down the rabbit hole. Again. Her TikToks are fantastic. And not only are they fun and book related, but I was even more impressed with her series of videos called Just the Tip.

I know right?? A romance author with a video series called Just the Tip! Yep, I giggled, then I chortled, and I even snortlaughed. Then I watched a bunch. And I was so freaking impressed! Here is a romance author offering FREE advice to others via TikTok! So, yeah, Julie and I reached out right away about Charm City, and Golden Angel said yes!

After that I started catching up on Golden’s other socials and found out she was going to be at Knockout Bookbash. And so was I. And when I finally met her, I fangirled her in a big way. And she was so kind and put me at ease right away.  When I saw her again at a local Maryland event (The Writewomen Bookfest) we got to chat for a bit about her books and I added more of them to my tbr. And when we attended Shameless, we got a chance to hang out before the event and talk even more—about books, yes, but also about family, life in general, and her amazing efforts to share her knowledge of writing and publishing with other authors, to help make the indie romance community even stronger and more connected. I love her passion for what she does. And I love how she does it.

But I still haven’t delved into her backlist. So I brought in that friend who recommended I reach out to Golden in the first place. Yep, it’s St@lkersister Rhon :-)

Rhon stumbled over Golden Angel purely by accident a couple of years ago when a comment on a page of a friend of a friend lead her to Bondage Buddies. She read it and became an Instant Superfan! She loves the “friends-with-benefits, but with rope” element of the story. And if you’re curious about how she felt about the novel, you can find out in her review.

Rhon loves that Golden Angel “approaches all of her romances with the same unabashed, authentic enthusiasm she exudes over all her social media presences. She is a multi-genre author, writing everything from aliens to historicals to some of the most authentic alphabet romances (BDSM OMG) I have read.”

Rhon’s is a total #whychose reader. She loves them all, so her favorite is always her current read … in this case, she immersed in Steamy Stocking Stuffers: A Stronghold Doms Holiday Collection

As for her favorite characters, Rhon had trouble choosing: Domi… or maybe Mitch  or … Janie vague reference for those familiar with Golden Angel’s darker alter ego Sinistre Ange

As Golden is such a diverse writer, her covers sport a wide range of images and styles.  Rhon adores her historical covers because they remind her of the bodice rippers she read as a teen, but she has a particular fondness for Benedict's Commands (Bridal Discipline Book 4). She also loves the cover for Spy Season: A Deception & Discipline Novella (Deception and Discipline Book 4) because it’s “just so damn pretty.”  I agree!  And yeah, I also agree with this one: the cover for Dungeon Master: Hot Later-in-Life Romance (Dungeons and Doms Book 1) Because, seriously, who doesn’t love a Kevin R. Davis cover.  Not sure who we’re talking about, you can catch Kevin on Facebook or Instagram . (Sidenote: Kevin was at Shameless Book Con with Golden Angel in November and I got the chance to meet him. He is a class act my friends, and his story is truly inspiring.)

But Rhon’s favorite cover is probably The Lady (The Dirty Heroes Collection Book 14)  And yeah, I can see why!

Rhon is really looking forward to meeting Golden in person at Charmed City Romanticon. And I cannot wait to see her again there as well!
