Violent God

Dark & Steamy Series Starter

I always love to see where Sarah Bale takes us every time she starts a new series. And this time it’s Vegas, Baby!  Secret societies, intrigue, villains and deceptions. And of course a deliciously dark story with enough steam to light up a city like, well—Vegas.

But the crux of what makes Violent God so good isn’t even the steam, it’s the chemistry. It’s Isabetta and Alessandro’s first meeting. It’s the lengths he goes to for her, and for himself. It’s the characters you meet along the way, some you’ll love and some you’ll love to hate. It’s the constant undertone of uncertainty, not just about who’s doing what, but whose side they’re really on.

Once I started reading Violent God, I wanted to shut the rest of the world out and just live in theirs. I mean, not in real life, because whoa! It’s kinda brutal. But the fantasy of it, so freaking incredible! The story is fast-paced and constantly twisting and turning, keeping readers on the edge of their seats and holding their breath.

Bale definitely set the ball (or dice) rolling for her Defiant God Brotherhood series with this one. While Violent God can be read as a standalone, you are definitely going to crave more from the characters surrounding Alessandro and Isabetta. And I am most definitely looking forward to the next one.
