The Bride's Runaway Billionaire
My Heart Feels Complete
Pippa Grant has done it again. Tied up so many wonderful threads into a beautiful bow, leaving me a little teary-eyed, a puddle of happy feels, and perfectly primed for a re-read. The Bride’s Runaway Billionaire (TBRB) had so much incredible humor—I mean, it is a Pippa Grant story—but also so much heart with exactly the right amount of heat. My favorite part of the story: Found Family. Yes, there are born-family ties in the book as well, but that found family game is so strong and meaningful and well-founded.
Sure, TBRB is a fun romp with well-developed quirky characters living in a quirky town with quirky pets, but it’s really so much more. Grant immerses her readers in her characters’ heads, their thoughts, their lives, and although TBRB starts halfway around the world, the entire story felt like a homecoming to Snaggletooth Creek. And the throwbacks to other stories didn’t end with the Three BFFs and a Wedding series, creating an even deeper feeling of connection and homecoming.
TBRB brings readers full circle from The Worst Wedding Date, tying up so many loose ends, but also bringing closure and a truly beautiful HEA for Emma. Because for both Emma and her swoonyworthy HEA, their story is all about lessons in life and love. It’s about learning to live the life you want, not the one you think you should. Of letting go and truly thriving. Of becoming, or returning to, the person you were meant to be. Not having it all, but having what’s most important.
And in the end, what’s more important than knowing who you are, and being surrounded by people who see greatness in you and help you restore your joy?
