Claire Kingsley has upped the suspense yet again. And the heat and heart in Temptation Trails are sheer perfection! Who knew Good-Guy Garrett would be the growly protector he turns out to be? Harper is sweet and adorable and everything Garrett needs to lose that little bit of control that sends him feral for his HEA. And Owen is the absolute best wingman/sidekick/kid ever. I adore all of the Haven familytime in this story, too. It wonderfully showcases the bond they all have. While Kingsley reveals another layer of the Havens with each book, they all have one amazing thing in common—when they fall, they fall hard. And they love strong.

I loved reading this book, and listening to Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke narrate the audiobook brought it to another level. Their performances are top notch, vocal perfection for Harper and Garrett, as well as every supporting character they encounter and interact with.

What I Love About Temptation Trails:

  • The kitchen table scene in Chapter 7- be prepared to giggle hard!

  • The backyard gathering in Chapter 14- I absolutely howled with laughter!

  • The traffic stop in Chapter 9- Swoon!

  • Chapter 24- brotherly bonding

  • Chapter 42- Garrett: Beast mode!

  • Squirrel antics.

  • The most adorable characters: Aunt Louise and Aunt Doris. Serious retiree goals.

  • Epic misdirection that truly kept me guessing and invested in uncovering the bad guy.

  • A villain I wanted to punch in the test-wickles.
