Gray

Steamy Soul Mates & Edge of Your Seat Action

Once again, Charissa Gracyk has delivered an edge of your seat, action packed, seriously steamy and passionate journey, and I am loving it! Gray, book two in Gracyk’s Force Protection Delta series, brings together two incredible soulmates. And while Gray is a force to be reckoned with physically, and a grumpy broken hero borne of a traumatic backstory, Aubrey turns out to be the one doing the saving. And it’s absolutely beautiful.

Gray and Aubrey are deep and rich characters who both harbor vulnerabilities and strengths best brought out by each other. Each traveling their own emotional journeys, they both seem lost until they find each other. And while the overarching series plot thickens around them, their story winds its way through its own perils and pitfalls, culminating in a bond forged in trust and care.

It’s so refreshing to read about a strong, competent heroine who reaches through her own insecurities to bring light and healing to a trained protector. Sure, she has her damsel in distress moment, but it’s relevant—the ideal catalyst to bring Gray out of his shell and set them up for their ultimate HEA. And the way they confront and vanquish their vulnerabilities together is heartwarming and emotional. And steamy. Because, yeah, these two are fire together!

I am always impressed with how Gracyk weaves humor, steam, and suspense together with a cast of characters that support each other and their mission. Gray’s story propels the Ex Nihilo plot forward with succinct action sequences, close calls, and increasing intrigue. Questions were answered, while others were raised, and seeing how the team comes together to fulfill their shared destiny only creates more anticipation for what’s coming next.

In order to get the full effect and appreciation for this story, Gray is best read within the series order. The Force Protection Delta series is not connected to Gracyk’s Fortune Seekers, Project Phoenix, or Slater Security series, and is a great entry point to Gracyk’s writing.
