Delightful Debut Novel
New authors hold a special place in my heart. And reading a debut novel always gives me a little jolt of joy for a new voice to be heard. A Lifetime With You, the debut novel by Liss Montoya, is an engaging foray into an Own Voices romance that provided a lovely escape and a heartfelt HEA.
A love-at-first-sight, soulmates romance, the author engages readers through humor and heartache, solid character development, and cultural immersion that paints a vivid picture of the setting and storyline. It’s an angsty, he's all in while she has to confront and defeat her fears narrative. Buoyed by a cast of supporting characters who will hopefully all get their own stories, main characters Daniela and Marco navigate their relationship in a whirlwind of love and lust, acceptance and trust.
Readers will definitely experience a range of emotions right from the start. I definitely recommend having some tissues handy. And while this is a YA romance, the steamy scenes are definitely for mature audiences. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment in this series and watching the author grow in her craft.
