Narrator Spotlight: Paige Reisenfeld
One of my favorite things about bookish events is meeting new people in the Romancelandia community. And when I went to the SASS signing in 2023, one of the first new people I met was a narrator named Paige Reisenfeld. We started chatting about something, I honestly don’t even remember what, but the conversation took so many fun tangents and covered so many subjects, by the time the day was over (and I’d run into Paige multiple times as I wandered around the room) I felt like we were old friends.
When I started to reach out to narrators to attend Charm City Romanticon, Paige was one of the narrators at the top of my list. I am so excited she’s joining us at Charm and am really looking forward to seeing her again!
When I found out Paige was one of the narrators my friend Meg met at another signing, and that Paige was going to narrate one of Meg’s books, I reached out to Meg to guest blog for Paige’s Spotlight week.
So now, in Meg Fitzpatrick’s own words, all the things about Paige:
In September of 2023, I was driving to Sin Signings listening to Ash by DJ Krimmer. The duet narration with Paige and Christian was everything I ever wanted in an audiobook. Then I nearly died when both of them were at the event. Paige and I talked for a few hours, did I love her immediately? Yes. Yes I did.
From that conversation I knew she would be the right person to bring Izzy and Alana to life. I knew I wanted an audiobook for Shield and Savior and I contacted her and Christian in October about booking. And then I realized “oh, right I need to pay her.” So a few months later I created a kickstarter and Paige was my number one cheerleader. When the project was funded she was my first email.
Paige is amazing to work with, incredibly professional and knowledgeable. She has an awesome starter guide to audiobooks which I use all the time. She really wants her authors to be successful. She records at 4 in the morning and goes LIVE on Tiktok, so I was able to hear my book being recorded while getting ready for my day job. Her dedication is incredible.
I’ve listened to all the Hel’s Ink Series— which everyone should read. Paige and Christain were able to make the characters feel more alive and real than any audiobook I’ve heard ever.
If you wake up early enough, go check out her Tiktok live. Her voice is the perfect way to start the day and drink your coffee. She’s an incredible actress, her professionalism is outstanding and my career changed forever the day I met her. So go listen to all her books!
