Author Spotlight: Tarina Deaton- Authentic, Sensual, Heartfelt Romance
So, this is really cool. Remember in my last blog how I said I love when authors read and recommend other authors and fangirl each other? The trend continues this week. Because I found out Reina Torres (who I flove) reads Tarina Deaton’s books. And Tarina is a new-to-me author. So I needed to get all the info from Reina. And since Reina is a writer, I’m going to bring you that info in Reina’s own words.
BBW: How did you hear about/ find Tarina Deaton’s books?
RT: We have some amazing mutual friends, so it was kind of inevitable. And I’m a visual inspiration girl, so those covers? Totally tempted me to jump in and read!
BBW: Yep, I will 100% agree on those covers. I may have gotten a little distracted on her Amazon page. Yeah, I definitely got distracted on her Amazon page.
BBW: What types of romance subgenres do Tarina’s books incorporate?
RT: Hot, sexy, military, hot, sexy (did I say that already?) private kick ass corporation… and did I say Hot & Sexy? Oh, and an AH-MAZING Country Music Romance that had me glued to my phone/kindle app.
BBW: I am all about romantic suspense and military romance. So yep, I have added her entire backlist to my tbr. And yes, I did restart my tbr, but I’m only adding books recommended by other readers and authors I know.
BBW: What common themes do you find through her books?
RT: She’s not afraid to delve into physical or emotional hurt and that makes the heat and sun of happiness so much more poignant. Fearless…
BBW: I love this. Yeah, those books always get me. Always.
BBW: What types of readers are most likely to be drawn to her books?
Love a good story? Love a fierce romance story? Love longing and sweet sweet resolution? Discover her books… NOW.

BBW: What do you love most about her books?
RT: Books were always my escape. I love an author who can transport me out of my life and into fantasy. Tarina’s books do this and give my heart a good workout too!
BBW: Yeah, all of this. The escape, the intensity, the HEAs. I am here for all of it.
Fortunately I get to see Reina next month at Charm City Romanticon. And I get to meet Tarina, too! I love how all of these amazing authors support and love on each other and their books. It makes Romancelandia feel like a true community where everyone wants everyone else to succeed. And they’re not gonna hold back from sharing all the good stuff so we can make it all happen.
