Going the Distance With You is a wonderful follow-up to Liss Montoya’s debut novel, A Lifetime With You. Lush descriptions, good chemistry and banter between main characters, and solid emotional connections create a vivid storyline for Luca and Karina, two supporting characters from A Lifetime With You.
Montoya employs a bit of suspense to bind Karina and Luca together and move the plot forward in this steamy, fake-relationship story. Interactions with her minor characters, both family and friends who feel like family, provide additional depth to the main characters and their motivations, bringing out the main characters’ personalities beautifully.
As with A Lifetime With You, I really loved the Own Voices element of Going the Distance With You. The vivid details included set the scene beautifully and really pull the reader into the characters’ world. I am looking forward to book three in the series.
