Finally A Cooper *Kupa
The Very Extra HEA We All Really Needed
Quirky side characters who capture your heart as easily as they steal a scene can bring a story to beautiful life. Sometimes they’re the wisened grandmotherly type, other times the peculiar town recluse. In the case of Koko Heart’s Cooper Sisters series, he’s the over-the-top, extra, perennial bestie who dishes out some solid wisdom with some serious drama. And if you’ve read any of Heart’s debut series, you know I’m talking about Marcus.
If you don’t know who I’m talking about, stop reading right now and go read books 1-4 in the Cooper Sisters series. Because to truly appreciate all that Marcus has to offer, you need to know Marcus. You need to see him in his glorious element (and I’m not just referring to his unicorn onesie). You need to understand the impact Marcus has on everyone he meets, every life he touches, every heart he steals. Then you’ll be able to sink into his story, his HEA, his extra special, well-deserved inclusion in the Cooper *Kupa club.
Unlike her Cooper Sisters books, Marcus’s story is a clean romance. So while it is an MM romance, it is closed door on the seggsy time. And Heart approaches it perfectly, employing a fun story-within-a-story technique a la Shakespeare or Princess Bride. In addition to being a series finale novella, Finally a Cooper *Kupa provides an adorable epilogue to the Cooper Clan’s story as Marcus and his HEA Emerson regale readers and their nieces and nephews with their opposites-attract, found family love story.
I thoroughly enjoyed Heart’s wrap-up for her debut series, and Marcus brought the curtain and the house down as only he can. What a beautiful nod to the supporting character everyone fell in love with.
