Definitely standalone readable, so even if you haven't read any of Janice's other books in the series, you can pick it up today and have the perfect weekend read. It does pack the feels, too, so maybe grab some tissues. You'll also need them when you start laughing so hard you snort your drink through your nose (because, yeah, that happened).
