When you're reading a book and the author's heart comes through in an underlying theme...
Kathryn Nolan is a true and genuine advocate, a stellar human, a phenomenal writer, and a beautiful friend.
And reading Free Fall was such an incredible escape into a world where barriers and boundaries are shattered, connections come with chaos, and in the end love is love and the relationship rules are replaced by a relationship that melts your heart and heals your soul.
This will definitely be one of my often reached for rereads when I need a shot of suspense intermingled with reminders of how beautiful humans and treasured relationships can spring from heartbreak, trauma, and destruction.
What I love about it:
Gasp after gasp after gasp... for sooo many reasons!
Intense, incredible chemistry between Luke & Elijah
Solid, attention-grabbing intrigue and suspense
Family bonds and break-ups
Raw emotional vulnerability side by side with strength and resilience
Well-woven & relevant thread of community activism
That first kiss! And the next kiss! These two are absolute fire!
Revelations & introspections on what truly matters
Favorite quote: “I swore I could hear our hearts beating in time, a steady metronome that sounded something like home-home-home-home.”
