A Little Twist
Definitely Crazy Chemistry
I was so ready for Alex and Cass’s story after reading Tia Louise’s A Little Taste, but I was still not prepared for all the feels A Little Twist brought. Yes, it’s fun and flirty, smexy and steamy, but it’s also sweet and swoony and so much fun! And there’s more than just a little twist in there, so be ready for lots of heat, serious heart, and more than a few “oh no she/he didn’t!” moments.
I loved diving into the backstory Alex and Cass share. From their initial meeting to their reconnection to their beautiful HEA, their chemistry is undeniable. If contemporary romance can have fated mates, these two are them. Of course they go through their trials and tribulations to make it all coalesce into perfection, but once they twirl their ways through the angst and uncertainty, they are a beautiful force to be reckoned with.
Louise does an exceptional job of weaving characters from A Little Taste into the second book in her picturesque Eureka series, spinning a tale of family and friendship readers will enjoy getting lost in. Add in some new faces, creating the biggest twists, and the scene is set for a wonderful single-dad/nanny, non-so-fake relationship, small-town romance.
While Louise does an amazing job of bringing Alex, Cass, and Pinky (who seriously steals the show) their ultimate and incredible HEA, she definitely left a few things open for resolution in book three. And while Twist can be read as a standalone (the main characters’ story is complete within the book), I highly recommend reading A Little Taste first. It will give you a true taste of the quirks and community feel of Eureka, it will help set up Twist and book three, and it’s simply a really wonderful story.
